The Philips docking speaker has a small footprint, but it stills pack a punch. The speaker has a total output power of 20 watts RMS and features Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB), which can be switched on to elevate bass levels (even when the volume is low). It also has shielding technology to prevent mobile phone interference.
Wireless Streaming from Bluetooth-Enabled DevicesBluetooth-enabled devices can stream music to this docking speaker. Once Bluetooth is enabled on your device, simply select the docking speaker from a list of nearby devices and start streaming. You'll be able to control the speaker wirelessly, too--the included remote control lets you adjust the volume or change the track.
Sync Device with Computer while DockedWith the included USB cable, you can connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your PC, even while you're listening to music or podcasts through the docking speaker. And you don't have to remove your device's case to dock it--the spring-loaded docking port can accommodate iPods and iPhones in most cases.
Connect Other Music Players with Stereo CableYou can boost the sound of any music player or laptop with a 3.5-millimeter jack using the included auxiliary cable. This connection will play music through the speakers, but will not charge the attached device.
Listen to Internet Radio with Free DockStudio AppThe free Philips DockStudio app gives you access to more than 7,000 Internet radio stations, and you'll be able to customize the sound with a five-band equalizer and several presets.
The app's clock mode lets you create custom alarms with your own music, choose photo displays for alarms, and view weather forecasts. DockStudio also connects to your Facebook and Twitter accounts so you can share what you're listening to. The DockStudio app is compatible with iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later.
